CARRY-ON LUGGAGE: OUR SURVIVAL SUITCASE
« The useless and the superfluous are more indispensable to man than the necessary » – René Barjavel (French writer and journalist)
Close to us, the carry-on reassures us and accompanies us during all our trips.
Containing the vital minimum, it can be essential to our comfort, our well-being and sometimes even our survival!
What could be more precious to us than a myriad of diamonds (320 carats), an infinite amount of pure gold (999.9) or a cascade of bills ($100)? Is a water bottle, a medical kit or a make-up kit really necessary?
NOART‘s new « CARRY-ON » artworks pushes the ‘preciousness’ of our iconic hand luggage to the limit and questions the very essence of the concept of ‘necessity’.
Thanks to its own artistic process of setting in abyme, NOART highlights the delight of our weaknesses, the charm of our flaws or perhaps, more simply, the ambiguity of our humanity.
