Biography
Nat Bowen is a Dubai-based British abstract artist, known worldwide for her vibrant, multi-layered resin paintings.
Bowen uses the study of chromology, the psychology of color, as the foundation of her art.
This knowledge is incorporated into the work as a means of communicating non-verbally through color, with the viewer having a physical and emotional response to the art based on their own personal perceptions and experiences.
Pigmented epoxy resin is poured onto an acrylic base, which is then manipulated with a brush to create layers of abstract color.
The pigments contained in the glossy resin adapt to the light, reflecting and absorbing the environment, the work becoming an integral part of the space it inhabits.
