PETTERSON SILVA

Biography

PETTERSON SILVA

Petterson Silva was born in Rondonópolis, in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso.

He grew up in total communion with nature: he took an interest in the region’s birds, frequently bathed in the Red River and forged special relationships with the Amazonian Indians.

As a young virtuoso, he studied for a time at the “Centro Universitário Belas Artes” in São Paulo. He put an end to his studies to seize “a golden opportunity”. Success was immediate.

In his oil paintings, the artist depicts the fauna, flora and indigenous peoples of these Brazilian regions.

Through his canvases, the painter aims to contribute to the preservation of animals by making us (and future generations) aware that it is possible to keep a country’s economy going while preserving the planet and its ecosystem.
