BRUNO CATALANO IN HONFLEUR: LES VOYAGEURS TAKE THEIR PLACE IN THE CITY

This summer, Bruno Catalano’s monumental sculptures take over the streets of Honfleur through a unique artistic journey at the heart of the city.

In a particularly meaningful context for the historic center, this installation resonates with singular strength. Through his iconic Voyageurs, Bruno Catalano explores themes of movement, absence, memory, and the profoundly human ability to keep moving forward despite adversity.

A city that has been open to the world for centuries, Honfleur provides a natural setting for this artistic universe shaped by travel and human destinies. The sculptures engage in a dialogue with the streets, the heritage, and the maritime horizon that define this Norman town.

Among the works on display, Le Navigateur, Khadine, and Pierre David embody different facets of the artist’s universe. Balancing contemplation, identity, and movement, these figures invite each visitor to project their own story onto that of the Voyageurs. (To be discovered at the entrance to the harbor, along Quai Sainte-Catherine, and on Rue du Dauphin.)

More than an exhibition, this artistic trail is an invitation to rediscover the city through a new perspective. It is a reminder that art continues to bring places to life, create encounters, and offer moments of contemplation.

Today, this proposal takes on a particularly meaningful dimension: that of continuing to move forward, to create, and to inspire dreams.

The exhibition is on view throughout the summer until November 2.
