« 50 years of painting… or almost !
From an early age, I had fun painting the walls of my kitchen. Then at the age of 12, I made my first artwork with a real canvas and real oil painting, which I immediately sold… to my father. In exchange for alkaline batteries essential to my remote-controlled car. He saw me born a second time, as an artist. Thanks to him, I understood that I would make art my profession.
I had to wait until I got out of that boarding school where my father locked me up soon after hanging my “fake Corot” on the back wall of the garage. I was happy to have found a job as a painter… even hanging in the back of a garage.
At the age of 24, I had my first exhibition at 34 avenue Matignon in the 8th arrondissement of Paris. It was my first major exhibition. Breton landscapes, wet roads of the Somme Bay, emaciated trees… the bright colours were not yet present on my palette.
In 1982, avenue Matignon but at number 14 this time, my first “ateliers”, a few shy “bouquets” appeared in the eyes of the general public. The bright colours are now well present.
After having exhibited my works in France and the whole world, here I am again in 2019, on this avenue which saw the birth of the painter I have become. It took me 43 years to get down to number 5 to present my last paintings.
More than 37 years later, I am entering my third period, for my greatest happiness ! »
