10TH ANNIVERSARY ART AT THE SUMMIT

Intertwined fates : Salvador Dali et Richard Orlinski

For this occasion, the resort of Courchevel and Galeries Bartoux gathered in the heart of the largest ski area in the world the two most contreversial artists of their time : Salvador Dali and Richard Orlinski. This exhibition takes place in the ski area of the three valleys and in the center of Courchevel 1850.

Salvador Dali is the self-proclaimed greatest artists of the 20th century. The Spanish genius is one of the founding pillars of the surrealist movement. More than an artistic movement, it was also a sociological movement that changed the habits and lifestyles of contemporaries. Through surrealism, Salvador Dali has developed a new form of thought, paving the way for a future generation of artists such as the great Andy Warhol, who eventually created the movement called pop-art of which inspired some graffiti, or street artists.

Richard Orlinski is an artist of our time. His explosive, multi-faceted art symbolizes the complexity of men and women. His « open mouthed » animals scream the cry we all want to in our lives. A cry of fear or pain, revolt or joy. In addition to passing fashions, the politically correct is an artistic world tied up by « good-thinkers ». Richard Orlinski’s charisma and personality are the key to his immense popular success.

Like Salvador Dali, Richard Orlinski attracts and ignites debate. The two artists have many points in common, the most important and certainly the one that holds the history of Art : the adulation of the general public. This is why it is interesting and amusing to draw a parallel between these two controversial artists and who have made their mark on the history of contemporary Art. We welcome you to Courchevel, where this exceptional event is taking place.
