David Gerstein showed natural artistic talent very early on. After attending Art Schools in Jerusalem, Paris, New York and London, he began searching for a personal approach by exploring a variety of forms of expression. Rejecting conventional rules and structures, he took a new path and forged his own style. At the end of the eighties, David Gerstein created a series untitled Sculpted Figures, free-standing works in wood and metal, sculptured in a unique way. These were followed by his well-known and original Wall Sculptures. His work is playful and humorous, depicting with lively movement and bright colors the themes of a modern and spirited life.
