Biography
Coderch & Malavia is a joint project by two Spanish sculptors: Joan Coderch and Javier Malavia.
Joan Coderch was born in 1959 in Castellar del Vallés Barcelona and Javier Malavia was born in 1970 in Oñati, Guipúzcoa.
In 2015, they embarked on an artistic project in the footsteps of figurative masters such as Maillol, Rodin, Marini and Bourdelle.
Part of the originality of their art lies in their way of working, as they create their sculptures with four hands.
In their work, Joan and Javier express notions such as social commitment to equality, the environment and childhood.
The human being, the search for emotion through the artwork and the combination of beauty and discipline are at the heart of their art.
